Guest guest
Hey Guys: My daughter Drema is working on her packet for surgery. We do have one concern. During childbirth, she was given Stadol and her heart rate dropped to 30 and she had to be put on oxygen and had respiratory depression. During a D & C somewhat later, she was given Valium before surgery. During surgery her lungs became saturated and collapsed and she had to be intubated. The Dr. told her she has an allergy to those medications and those in that family and that she should tell anyone for anesthesia purposes that this happened. Can you medical folks out there tell me if this will preclude her from having the surgery or if there is another way around these meds? I'd be grateful for any information any of you could give me about the above.
