Hi , I highly recommend the NC Museum of Life & Science, there is a

glorious butterfly house,great hands-on exhibits,an outdoor play/picnic

area,some live animals,and a little train runs through a bear area.My

sister, her kids and my daughter & I go there several times a year and really

all have a great time. This can be difficult because hers are 14 & 9 and mine

is 4.This is a big hit w/ all 3.I also suggest the Rodin exhibit in Raleigh

at the NC Art Museum, however it will be leaving on Aug 13th.NC Museum of

Natural Science(brand new,w/ a really cool dinosaur exhibit)and the NC

Museum of History has partcularly good kids events/temporary exhibits.(Check

their websites).DO NOT forget to check what shows are at the Planetarium at

UNC- Chapel Hill, some are phenomenal some are strictly for astronomers.

Janet
