Guest guest
Hello Everyone! I wanted to introduce myself to the group. My name is Beth, 39 yrs old, married (no children but a cute as heck dog named Widget). I live in a small suburb of Orlando, Florida. I am at the point now where I HATE food! Ok Ok.... well I don't really hate food. I love food but I am 5'2 " and weigh 348 lbs. and I am hating what loving food has done to me. Therefore, I avoid eating until I am FAMISHED, at which point I gulp down way way to much dinner of all the wrong foods and don't move for the rest of the night. As a matter of fact, I move very little any time of the day because my body hurts! And my heart was built for a compact " Honda Civic " body, it has a hard time hauling this huge special edition " Suburban SUV " megabody around! But all of that will change! My packet was sent in on July 18th and I am hoping to have surgery before the end of August. My insurance company would not pay for the surgery because of an " exclusion " in the policy. I fought, at first, but when I was repeatedly connected to the same person with the same pseudo sweet yet regret filled comeback of " We just don't cover that even though you certainly have proven that, in your case, it is medically necessary " , I decided to go private pay. After educating them, I have the support of my friends, coworkers and family. And now I have come here to look for support and information from people who have been there and done that! =) I am enjoying reading all of you. We have a pretty lively and down right comical group here! Just what I needed! Thanks so much for your time and your stories. Keep your fingers crossed that Dr. R will accept me. Sometimes, even when the surgery itself is excluded, the policy has to pay for the anesthesia and hospital bill -- be sure to check this out. > I fought, at first, but when I was > repeatedly connected to the same person with the same pseudo sweet > yet regret filled comeback of " We just don't cover that even though > you certainly have proven that, in your case, it is medically > necessary " , I decided to go private pay. > After educating them, I have the support of my friends, coworkers and > family.
