Clinic Visit and Phone Consultations for Out of State Patients - Dr. R.

Hi all,

The Patient Education Manual states:

Clinic Visits

Out-of-State

1 clinic visit

1 or 2 telephone consultations

(also says " For out of state patients we plan to require two extensive

telephone consultations and an additional clinic visit " )

I was not sure how to do the phone consults and wanted to know if I

had to make a separate trip for the clinic visit.

Debbie clarified that they schedule the clinic visit so that we

can attend the clinic prior to surgery.

As far as the telephone consultations go, Debbie said that they

no longer require these.

Dr. Rutledge, perhaps you may want to update the manual to reflect

your latest policies.

I recommend that you also date the manual so that you can tell if

a patient has the latest manual if they refer to it.

Also, many of your statistics are way out of date in the manual.
