This is on page 62 of my BTVC book:

" Low calorie diet foods often contain sorbitol or xylitol as

sweeteners. Occasionally low calorie diet chewing gum or candy

containing those sweeteners can be used. However, excessive use of

these products can cause diarrhea and bloating. "

I don't know the recommendation for ASD kids- just quoting Elaine's

words from the book. I know my son could not tolerate much more than

1 pc of xylitol gum w/out getting diarrhea.
