Guest guest
Sounds fun, huh? Someone mentioned sucking the juice out of the pickles and I thought of that today because I can't get enough salty stuff. Since I'm only 6 days post-op, my choices are limited. I basically have sat here and nibbled on my saltine cracker, making it last a long time by sprinkling more salt on it and licking it off! I guess my body is telling me something. Other than that, I'm feeling pretty good. I'm going to have my staples taken out at my local medical clinic tomorrow. I'll be glad for that because the darn things are irritating! Has anyone heard from " of Durham soon to be Chapel Hill? " :-) I'm not at my regular computer and don't have her email address. I saw her last Saturday as I was leaving the hospital. (She's a littermate and was leaving too.) If anyone has anymore salty ideas, let me know. I have always disliked V-8 and unfortunately haven't developed a post-op love of it. I guess I can lick the salt off of tortilla chips or something... I just need one of those tequila glasses with salt... Guest guest
Dona, Your funny! I became obsessed with canned beef broth because it is salty and feels good on the tummy after all that juice. The firs week I carried a mug of juice around with me like a security blanket..lol Then my next obsession was TCBY fat free sugar free smoothies. Glad that one is over. Well kinda. Good luck! Guest guest
Hi Donna, My favorite post-op salty treat is watermelon. I love it because you can put salt on it, it goes down real well and it's real juicy. It has substance and it's not too sweet. Try it you'll like it. I found it interesting that I have read that so many post- ops like watermelon and think it goes down well. In the beginning of my WLS quest, I was on the Carni site frequently and everything I heard about watermelon is how they couldn't tolerate it because of the fiber. Some said they just had to chew it and then spit it out. Another win for the MGB. I sent out some contact letters this morning and received them all back this afternoon, I just am flabbergasted at the support and co- operation that is found here in this group. Thank You All SOOOO much!!! Marjory Sumlin Sending in Packet Monday
