Guest guest
Can the goat's yogurt be eaten at anytime? Should it be eaten alone without any other foods so that the good bacteria has the maximum affect? Will drinking hot green tea with the yogurt kill the good bacteria before it has a chance to get inside the intestinal wall? Guest guest
Sue, Yes, I'd say the yogurt can be eaten any time. I serve yogurt to my son as an afterschool snack, and then we wash it down with a big glass of water. Then he can eat other foods after his yogurt. (about a 1/2 cup serving of yogurt) Maybe your son eats yogurt a couple times a day. I had an acidophilus supplement that said take 30-60 minutes before a meal, but of course that is in a capsule. I just felt that by eating it first and washing it down, maybe it has a better chance of repopulating his tract, rather to try to get the maximum benefit from it. Personally, I wouldn't drink hot tea after eating the yogurt. Someone else may have input on this....? It would seem to make sense, with the certain temperature ranges on adding cultures, etc. Just probably makes more sense to get the maximum benefit again. Guest guest
i would think that both the tea and the yogurt would become body temp pretty quickly. i wouldnt drink it together but i wouldnt think it would matter if you sat down with a cup of tea after yogurt. i am picturing sips of team not pouring the tea cup on to the yogurt. i think i remember reading about probiotics that if you want help with digestion you should take with a meal. if you want it to populate gut than you should take at bed time. not sure if these same recommendations apply to yogurt though. donna > > Can the goat's yogurt be eaten at anytime?
