This is week 2 on the SCD diet for our 3 year old boy. After

struggling with constipation for a week, we removed the illegals (

benefiber) and also stopped using MO. We have since

switched to prune nectar mixed with carrot juice. We have got him to

poop 3 of the last 4 days. He went several times the first day.

Here is his meal routine.

Carrot Juice with prune nectar at 5:00, sometimes twice before 7:00

A.M.

carrot + egg pan cakes for breakfast

more carrot + egg pan cakes for lunch, carrot Jello for dessert

pear sauce, carrot Juice for afternoon snack

Ground chicken and carrots w/chicken broth or grilled chicken breast

for dinner.

all carrots and pears are cooked. the carrot jello has a spoon of

honey for 4 cups of carrot puree.

He drinks lots of water too.

We have one current concern though. Our son has a bloated stomach -

not what we would expect for someone who is eating a lot less than

before. Is it gas? Sometimes the bloated stomach is hard and

sometimes soft, but still bloated. This bloating actually started

when we first introduced watermelon juice in Week 1. So we stopped

after 2 days, once we noticed the bloating. We are worried if

something is going wrong. As soon as he poops, his stomach is flat.

but after a while it is bloated again.

What can we take out of this diet to resolve the bloating.

Please advise
