So, I am truly curious. Even though he has seemingly excellent

health, since he has two gluten intolerant genes and children w/

digestive issues and lots of autoimmune diseases in his family-

should he do a diet like SCD as a preventive??

That would be a hard sell for him to be 100 percent legal, but if it

would help hold off future health issues, it would be worth the

effort on my part.

Will the SCD actually restore your ability to make enzymes? I think

I need to reread the book again- I'm getting confused!

Thanks Charlene,

I have talked to my hubby about trying SCD as a preventive. Still

have to work on that some more... :)

My son though is doing SCD great! Even my mom-in-law noticed that

he is thriving on the SCD. His skin is so smooth and clear and

almost glowing. The patch of eczema that had reappeared on his

bottom- totally gone. Perfect BMs. No claritin or singulair or

inhaler or wheezing or hives. I could easily keep this up for him

forever if he keeps doing this well! Of course, it's still VERY

early in the game and I am fully prepared in case of regression or

die-off. Who knew that grains and starches (arrowroot, etc) could

cause so much trouble even though I had strictly limited them pre-

SCD. Little bits really do hurt!

believe that the SCD will do nothing but help him. As for it

restoring your ability to make enzymes? Perhaps in the long run of

micro-evolution, but for your son's (and mine) I have the

instinctive feeling, no it won't.
