I understand why shelled peanuts are illegal, but why is peanut butter

legal? How do you know the starch isn't added to those peanuts before

they are made into butter?

Also, does frozen cooked fruit work okay for smoothies? I can't think

of anything to do with the cooked fruit except make applesauce,

pearsauce, peachsauce, etc...and pineapplesauce doesn't sound all that

great to me!

Yes. I cook up berries and then freeze in ice cube trays or small

Tupperware cups. Then I can pull out a handful and put them in the

blender with a banana, little OJ and sometimes yogurt. You could also

take the cooked fruit and put directly in a blender with the same

ingredients and then pour into popsicles molds and freeze.

Some beginners report problems with peanut butter. It might be

better to avoid it in the beginning. Peanuts are a bean and

therefore harder to digest. Many of us might have hidden allergies

to peanuts.

Some brands of peanut butter might have added starch.
