Guest guest
I have been active on SCD lists for several years and can testify that this diet gets miraculous results. The SCD miracle has also been witnessed by DAN practitioners who have made the effort to understand SCD well. Unfortunately, for many folks strict adherence is a must. Not doing the diet correctly might prevent you from getting the fantastic results. If you are not satisfied with your results, then please read BTVC and the SCD websites very carefully. If you need more help, then contact the SCD counselors. They have been successful at helping folks get better results! I used to give free SCD counseling for list members. (I no longer have the time to do that) and found that small changes can result in vast improvement. Here are some methods ways to improve your results: *Please omit nuts, nut products, beans, peanut butter, carrots for a trial period. Those foods are hard to digest and may cause problems for beginners. Beans should be introduced 3 months after the gut has healed. (Peanuts are also beans). *Please discontinue all supplements for a month and reintroduce them one at a time. *Go back to the intro diet and try one new food at a time. *Avoid most processed foods, they may contain hidden SCD illegal foods. Try the SCD goat yogurt,it is a miracle food. Most children on the autism spectrum do tolerate the SCD goat yogurt if it is introduced very slowly(1/8 of a teaspoon). Please wait about 2 months if your child was dairy free prior to the SCdiet. All the best,Mimi
Guest guest
Dearest SCD Pals, Thank you Mimi for posting this it is a must read again so I do not errase it! So many here need to hear this news again! Yet we all need to also remember that SCDiet can not undo some " permanent " damage. This is sadly going to be something that some of us have to deal with. Saw our DAN! yesturday and for some of our older kids and adults with ASD this may be the case. It is in mine but I will be OK. But even we can benifit GREATLY from Elaine's FANATICAL ADHERANCE! I am proof of it. Comfirmed as ASD yesturday by DAN! Already knew it but was self diagnosed ASD. I can testify that this has been a miracle even in me (38 years old)....strict adherance guys...this does not mean SCD pre-prepared foods....please see what Elaine told us in the BTVC book. I have reread this thing so many times my book looks beaten up. Even has scribbles on it from one year olds...inbetween my highlighter marks and notes. I know we are tired...but guys this diet depends on us cooking in the kitchen! DAN! did not like applegate farms or some of these prepackaged SCD foods especialy in the beginning when DIE OFF IS ESSENTIAL for success. Our little guys don't need to risk trusting others right now and their " good intentions " to get this right. Even don't need the crap put in the stuff from apple gate... " organic " " no preservatives " or not! Look at the ingrediants...when we cook at the stove do we put some of this stuf in....no. Wait a year to eat these things guys, when the gut has healed a while and isn't leaky this crap into our ASC brains! Pain yes..worth it priceless...miracle will happen! Truest concern for those that are having troubles, please do not be angry at me or feel contempt....look at everything you put in your mouth is it what Elaine told you to eat? TURST ELAINE...it works her way. Sincerely, Antoinette (2 mo SCD and positive for Celiac and I'M and ASPIE!....have an ASPIE husband with celiac and tow ASD kids...this works we have proved it....still healing and have a ways to go...but going we are!) > > I have been active on SCD lists for several years and can testify > that this diet gets miraculous results.
