Dear MGB friends-

I'm leaving early tomorrow (Saturday) morning to drive my daughter to her

summer camp in West Virginia, then driving back South to my mother's house in

Reidsville, NC, and I won't get to Durham until Sunday afternoon. I hope to

be back online by Sunday night, but...

I suspect things will be busy, getting my mother and sister oriented to the

Duke Towers neighborhood, bringing them up to speed on the surgery, making

sure I've done all my pre-op stuff, luxuriating in my Hibiclens spa treatment

(!).

But I wanted to take a few minutes to thank every one of you - all 709 on the

list - who post good questions and answers, or take time to answer mine, or

who write hysterically funny or painfully honest things. It's been a bit of

a roller coaster for me, this MGB process - and I really don't believe I'd be

here, on the eve of my surgery, without the help I've gotten from you.
