Dear Sharon, What does this mean? Is he near the computer screen? CRT's (monitors) have rhythmic light emitted that you and I don't see, but did you ever watch a computer screen on TV? have you noticed the " bands " rolling upwards? Your son may see these and incur a seizure, just as a strobe light would. My daughter has nocturnal partial-complex hyperelectrical activity, right temporal, full occipital. I read at ARI that this comes from damaged gut. She only has this increased, uncontrolled activity when she sleeps... Cara
Guest guest
Hi Cara - sorry I just meant that it seems that whenever I announce that something has helped his seizures, they immediately come back. His seizures are not photic (induced by flickering lights or anything like that). He has severe brain damage and is cortically blind (but he does react to lights/movement, so he can see something). > " It is very likely that writing this > note will incur seizures, " so I probably will start the Lamictal. Guest guest
Way to go Cruikhank family! Agape, SHARON CRUIKSHANK wrote: We took to an osteopath who also does CST yesterday. Now I know this is only 1.5 days later, but he typically has 5-6 strong clusters a day. Since the treatment he has only had 2 light clusters, 1 last night falling asleep, and 1 this afternoon. He did a lot of sighing with relief during the treatment, and she did a lot of work on the top of his spine/base of skull. He is VERY relaxed and very " even " looking (vs. turning to one side). He also pooped on his own 3x yesterday and 4x today. Woo hoo. He's been doing better with this since we started the SCD, but he's really cleaning himself out now (and it's good well-formed poops too). We were just about to start a new, potentially nasty drug called Lamictal. So, now what do I do? Do I go ahead and start the Lamictal I just picked up, or wait a few days. It is very likely that writing this note will incur seizures, so I probably will start the Lamictal. We'll see ... Sharon Cruikshank
