What causes the " dumping " when you eat sugar? I know you new tummy

can't handle the sugar, but why not? I'm not a big sugar eater but I

am curious as to what happens to make you dump?

Sugar is usually processed in the part of the intestine that is

bypassed, so when your stomach dumps it into the " new " connection, it is

hitting intestine that isn't equipped to process the sugar. For

whatever reason, this seems to set off a whole series of squawking

reactions from other parts of the body, like hot flashes, sweating,

weakness, chills, nausea. It is no fun. Been there, done that . . .

blech!

Kind regards,

Nope. They sort of seem to sit in the stomach (some, anyway), some

people say they don't like the feeling in the stomach. I don't have any

problem with fats.

But the good thing is that the part of the intestine that processes fats

is also bypassed, so fats pretty much pass through (and fairly quickly,

I might add). If you eat a *lot* of fat, you can give yourself the fast

trots to the throne, but mostly, fat seems to give me somewhat loose

stools that are yellow colored and often float (yes, you're welcome for

that visual, but you asked!!)

Kind regards,
