Water and watered down juice is getting us down too!

Coming from an admitted pop-oholics and corn syrup juice-oholics!

2 mo all of us SCD and healing but thirsty and as good as water is for us....we

want something else!

Help us! Antoinette and her thirsty Silly Yaks!

He will get used to the drinks. Water with a touch of honey may do the trick.

Laurie wrote: We are new at this, but my son is not liking

the drink situation! He

is a former kool-aid addict (made with splenda) and so water and even

juice with water are not thrilling him. This is bad since he has

supplements, some of which go into his drinks! :(

Anymore ideas?

Thanks,

Laurie

My son drinks hazelnut 'milk'.

I put about 1/3 cup of hazelnuts in my KitchenAid blender with about

24 oz of water and 1 t of vanilla and blend on high. (I used to add a

little honey but doesn't do well with honey.) After 10

minutes, pour it through a strainer with a cheesecloth and squeeze

through the excess. I keep the 'milk' in a container in the fridge.

Whenever he wants a cup I pour 4 parts water and 1 part h'nut milk in

his cup. He loves it.

One idea is to use carbonated water instead of plain water when watering down

the juice.

This makes the juice seem more like a soda.

We made the ginger ale recipe in the Family cookbook. It didn't taste like

store bought

ginger ale but was good anyway. There is a lot of honey in the recipe so it is

only a once

in a while treat.
