Guest guest Posted April 29, 2006 Report Share Posted April 29, 2006 This may help too, I Also supplement with Barlenes Flax Seed oil and Nordic Naturals Cod liver oil (mercury free)...this also helps us breast feeding moms. I use the Flax seed oil in my salad dressing...and put it on everything. You can't heat either of these oils. The Cod Liver oil come in a capsule....I called them and told them my situation and they said that it is safe to take 5 1000 mg capsules. These oils not only add omega 3's that we all need...especially us nursing moms....but adds calories also! I also use olive oil and walnut oils on or in everything. Can cook with these ones! We also use coconut oil (in place of shortening) These are also healthy oils/fats, with lots of calories. Hope this helps too, Antoinette SCD 2 months (also, nursing two toddlers still...we are weaning down a bit for my sake...but will continue because human milk is liquid gold to a sick baby or any baby for that matter.)
