Guest guest
OMG! I thought I was going crazy. Ok, here's the deal, we're both right! What you looked at was the bulk deli page which lists the ingredients. These are meats that only in store delis can buy for slicing at the deli counter. We can't buy those online. Applegate <http://www.applegatefarms.com/bulk.shtml> Farms Natural and Organic Turkey and Deli Meats, Raised with no antibiotics, and nitrite, nitrate and gluten free products..... What referred to was the individually packaged sliced turkey bologna and salami. These do not have maple syrup in them. You can look them up here under each product and the click on nutritional info. Applegate <http://www.applegatefarms.com/products_full.shtml> Farms - Product List I'm amazed that the product ingredients don't match though! That is very deceiving. It is good to know since if it were in a store such as Whole Foods, the turkey bologna available at the deli is not ok. There were several deli only items that looked great if a deli used their meats though. They had roast beef, turkey and chicken that only had the meat and salt and pepper. WOuldn't that be great to be able to get. Guest guest
Becky, thanks for the reply. I'm glad to know there is a difference. We still won't use their products here though because of the addition of " spices " . Unless a moderator says they are okay. We've been on this diet for 2 years in May and I recently found out that the Cambells tomato juice from concentrate isn't okay. When I started I was told it was. It took one of my kids a year before his behavior changed and I wonder if it was the juice. I don't want to waste any more time but I also would like a convenience now and then. I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm to picky with this matter. Pearl Becky Grant-Widen wrote: OMG! I thought I was going crazy. Ok, here's the deal, we're both right! Guest guest
I completely understand. You are not being too picky, just thorough. But now I am saying " What!!!!????? " regarding the Cambell's tomato juice from concentrate. I though that brand of tomato juice is the ONLY one that is ok if from concentrate. That's the only way I've found it, it doesn't make sense to me. Becky mom to Noah (6, HFA) and (3, NT) SCD 6 weeks
Guest guest
The Long Island group said it was not legal because things are added to concentrates. There were questions like when was the last time Elaine checked, will anyone check thoroughly again since they could change the ingredients (less then 2%) anytime. They said you have to find tomato juice that says tomatos, salt. I have found a shop rite brand that says that. Something like what was going around this group about the grape juice, Is Welch's legal or not. Pearl Becky Grant-Widen wrote: I completely understand. You are not being too picky, just thorough.
