Guest guest
I am about 35 minutes from Kville. I found out about it online. I knew that I had tried all options and had decided that gastric bypass was my last hope at permanent weight loss. Was searching the subject and found the MGB. I truly consider it a miracle and pray that I will soon join you on the road to a healthier life. Diane
Guest guest
Diane, Your time will come, just as it has for the rest of us. If I can help, let me know. I am scheduled for August 2. Guest guest
Hi!...Here I go again. Had just typed a near novel when, poof!, one of my two year old twin boys politely hit escape and the rest is history. I have just begun the process of MGB. I know the road will be long ahead of me but compared to the last 20 years that I have spent avoiding life, the wait will be worth it. I go for h & p with pcp on Monday. I pray that she will agree that the gastric bypass is the way for me to go. Without her I cannot get my approval. Must have referral from her before I can do anything else. Hurdle #2, will my insurance company agree that I am eligible? I am almost positive that I am, but then again, most of us know how they can be, so keep me in your prayers. I am already excited and feel for the first time in my life that there is hope. Only all of you who have battled weight with me know where I come from. It is a blessing just to read the post and feel part of a group. May this be the first of many post....Congratulations to all of you who have succeeded and good luck to all of you waiting to go..... Guest guest
Hi Diane, Where are you in Tennessee? I live in Harrogate by the Kentucky border north of Knoxville. Good luck with your PCP tomorrow. And good luck with your insurance. Just remember never to assume that they have received any information because they all seem to " lose " Dr. R's letter and other info sent to them. Call them continually and see if you can find out who your case manager is and make friends with them. Mine helped a lot, and seemed genuinely pleased when she was able to call and tell us I was approved, but we sure had a run around before that. Welcome to the list! Guest guest
I'm in Claiborne county. My husband teaches at Lincoln Memorial University. How far away from Knoxville are you? I am in Knoxville a lot because my parents live there. How did you find out about the MGB? I'm pre-op, having the MGB on August 2nd. If there are any questions I can help you with, please let me know. Sara ddsdajj@... wrote: > I am in White Pine TN...East of Knoxville, in Jefferson county.
