Guest guest
Sandy, Thank you for links. Very helpful. She has always been " over stimulated " ...when things get so busy around her. Before SCD...she would shut down...and literally force herself into a sleep like state ...closing her eyes and acting like she was not arousalable. She was always sleeping when we left the house. So many called her a " good " baby....or a easy baby ....because of it. If they only knew....at home she cried all the time...nothing would comfort her. Even would go on frightening nursing strikes.....I knew she was too young to wean...natural weaning occurs at three years old or so. Some thought it was just " behavioral " ...now we know better! Makes me so mad some of the thing " good " intentioned doctors and therapists use to say. Her delirium seizures where called " night terrors " ....yet she was unarousable then too...not recognizing who we where....scratching at our face in defense because she didn't know who we where. Sometime for up to 45 minutes at a time...this was the first to stop with the scdiet....thank GOD! We are so glad to have our little KiKi coming back to us. Everyone sleeps better and my scratch face is healed for the first time in years! Sincerely, Antoinette Re: OT Symptoms of ASD/KiKi Two sites of info on sensory ...Yes in some this certainly gets better... You are speaking of a child who is over responding to the environment.. Many kids are underesponders and need much sensory yours is the opposite...So I would keep doing slow steady movement to retrain the neurological system...........
