Guest guest
I once made a search for Thermophilus and found this website. I am not recommending the product, never heard about it before but I found the comments about Thermophilus interesting. http://emtechnologynetwork.net/eve/ubb.x/a/tpc/f/7336045124/m/5606043824/r/72260\ 37034 On the other hand, it is entirely true that many brands and lines of kefir and yogurt, and also most brands of intestinal probiotics sold in the vitamin shops, do contain S. thermophilus. A lot of them contain S. thermophilus largely because the FDA rules encourage it; the FDA seems to feel that ST is one of the realyl " safe " probiotic bacteria. As for the allegations that the presence of S. thermophilus in the guts of some genetically-susceptible people may make them more prone to auto-immune diseases, it may be a classic example of a case where too much of that organism, if not enough of other good organisms are present, could lead to an overbalance and thus problems for susceptible people. Or, it could be that the probiotic manufacturers are using strains of ST which are not optimal for human health. (However, the research literature seems to indicate that ST has been found in the normal human GI tract over the centuries as a harmless and helpful companion.) > > Greetings, new here, going to try the SCD. > > Confused about Streptococcus Thermophilus.
