Sometimes I'm an actress. Sometimes I'm a teacher. Sometimes I'm a tutor. I wanted to be a doctor (started out in Pre-Med but switched to Theatre, which is a good thing because that's how I met my husband). I raise cats. I used to breed parrots. I have six children. I look forward to my life after the MGB. I want to act in a play and not be so limited in what role I can get. A year ago I played the Reverend Mother in " Nunsense. " She was supposed to be fat, but I'm telling you it was really, really hard to dance and sing at my weight! Some nights I thought I would pass out!! They can pad a thin person to play a role, but they can't unpad a fat person. I look forward to being able to play actively with my children. We want to adopt one or two more. I want to travel and speak to people about adoption. I don't have the energy now to even try to do something like that. There are so many small things I look forward to being able to do, too. Like wear the clothes I want. I see clothes all the time that I want, but they don't have them in my size. I like loose clothes, too. It will be so nice to wear loose clothes!! I want to be able to rise from a couch without effort. I want to be able to walk the length of the mall without being out of breath. I want to feel like getting up and getting myself a glass of water without being so tired that I ask my husband or children to do it for me. I want to feel like mowing the lawn and cleaning house - not having to force myself to do everything (at least physically; I still may not mentally want to do it , but at least I will have a choice). There are other very private things I want to be able to do more easily, too (you ladies know what I mean). I love life! I can't wait to live it more fully!! Now with this MGB obsession, I know it will be put off even longer! lol (MGM will have to wait for MGB--HA!) Even though your BMI is only 40, that still qualifies under all the guidelines I have ever seen as morbidly obese, so the MGB should be medically necessary for that reason alone. I'm sure they'll have to approve you after the precedent they set by approving Chris. I hope to meet you someday! I can't wait to see the email saying that you have also been approved! >> Thanks, Sara! Good luck! I have a degree in Theatre and in English. I taught 8th grade English part time, and was an English tutor at North Carolina Wesleyan College for a few years. I was also an occasional Theatre instructor there. I have been in a lot of college plays. I have written some plays. I have a children's book in my head and some other half-formed play and screenplay ideas. I have 5 adopted children (as you know). All my writing is waiting until after the MGB because I can't think anything but MGB now at all!! You know, if would seem to me that your insurance company could just save time and approve you now without all the appeals, since they already approved Chris! Even though your BMI is only 40, that still qualifies under all the guidelines I have ever seen as morbidly obese, so the MGB should be medically necessary for that reason alone.
