Guest guest
Well I am worn out, but hanging in there. Today ate 1/2 a chicken pancake and a few squares of his jello. He's still drinking well though. He woke today with snotty nose-like running down his face and the wildest thing- he would sneeze and (sorry to be graphic) this big string of snot (still attached to his nose) would fly out. It wouldn't " break " . Isn't that weird? I mean (I know it's gross) it was hanging like 1/2 foot or something from his nose to his lap. He did this many times. We have had snotty stuff with die-off before. He was grumpy early in the day, but then played outside all afternoon, came in and got a bath and took a 3 hour nap. He woke up happy and played until bed. He is not sleeping good though! I hate being back to that! No rashes. He felt a tiny bit warm a couple of times. How long should I stay on the intro? Is one more day good? He did have 2 BM's today- those gritty ones. They have been firm for a while, so that was the same. These are some of the hopeful things he did today: 1. When playing outside he used to just play with his ride on tractor, but not well or normal. Sometimes he'd just mess with the trailer. Well today, he got the tractor, walked ACROSS THE YARD and got the trailer, hooked it up, then put stuff in it to " haul around " . Never done this before. 2. Got in bed with me this morning and said " hi " and gave me his forehead to kiss. He hasn't done this in months. 3. Hubby swears he said " i want some more drink " . He was flabberghasted and asked " Did you say you want some more drink " and Tom handed him his cup. Unheard of- a sentence- a request. More than 2 words never happened a week ago. 4. He started yesterday saying " I do too. " We have no idea why, but he says it from time to time the last 2 days. 5. He walked around the house doing all the signs he has ever learned in some order. Usually he will hardly do them at all. It's like I am afraid to be too hopeful. It seems like so many things don't help him that we thought would. I have longed for him to talk. He has never said my name. I pray this continues. I would appreciate any comments on anything I am experiencing- if this is the status quo and especially how long to do intro. Thanks, Laurie~ 5 weeks SCD prior~ back to intro -to do it right 5/9/06 Mom to Ally 10, Chase, 3, 2 ASD and 6 months
