You really don't have to say good-bye to buffalo wings or subways. You're not going on a diet. You will still be able to eat them. Maybe not the first 2 months, but you will. I am 3 mos. out and I can eat most anything now. Things that did bother my stomach don't now. Food is becoming fun again. But there is something to the mental process of getting *to* surgery that seems to require these ritual " good-byes " to food, more like saying good-bye to your old self and getting prepared to welcome the new.
