Guest guest
Well, I'm sitting here trying not to cry, and failing at that, too. I spent 6 months fighting with my insurance company, Tricare Prime, before figuring out that I just had to change to Tricare Standard to be able to go see Dr. R. In those 6 months my daughter, Karlie's, weight reached levels that no longer qualified her for MGB. Due to her very poor health she will be having open RNY, Aug 3rd. I had hoped to get her settled, to then get my approval for MGB. I also read that MGB dates for my insurance would not be given out until Nov. So being the mom that I am, I thought, " Well, I can go down in Dec with my other daughter, Angie BMI 42, and we can do a mommy and daughter thing " . Now there is the possability that it won't happen? I have 6 children. Two in college and my youngest has CP. I am not in a position to seek employment due to 's needs. My wonderful husband is active duty Navy, we have no other insurance. Tricare will not pay " after the fact " . I do not want or can afford the recuperation time needed for " the other " forms of WLS. Well, as I always tell my kids, " Life isn't always fair and sometimes dreams have to remain dreams because they are not within your capabilities to make them into a reality " .
