Guest guest
Hi Everyone! Thanks for your responses. I feel a little better now. My hands were shaking, thinking something else was wrong with him now. The gastroenterologist said everything was fine over the phone about 2 weeks ago. I just got the results today and I didn't understand why he said that when this AP level was so high. The tests done were 1. CBC w/ platelets +diff 2. Complete metabolic profile 3. Alpha 1 antitrypsin, feces 4. Ova and parsites smears 5. Giardia ag, eia 6. Food screen panel Tests 3,4,5 are missing from the packet, I have to call on Monday. Some of the other results on the CBC are also high but not too bad. I'm relieved to know that most likely it is bone growth, I will call and ask the Dr. I do feed him a good amount of protein and fat. I think he has some malabsorption problem and will go to a nutritionist. He used to eat a more varied diet but now he only eats omlettes (where I can hide some meat/veggies/chicken) and some peanutbutter cookies or something I baked. And his goat yogurt of course mixed with fruit in a smoothie. Anyone know a good NYC nutritionist familiar with SCD? (so hard to find!) Thanks to everyone. , mom to Broderick, 23 months old, PDD, SCD 9 months
Guest guest
What blood type is he? I would guess he is an O or B correct? If he is an O don't feed him peanut butter or yogurt, yogurt should be fine for a B. In both cases try to get some red meat down him. Some wrong food choices could be causing the malabsorbtion > >Reply-To: pecanbread >To: pecanbread >Subject: Blood Test Info.... >Date: Sat, 13 May 2006 04:02:34 -0000 > >Hi Everyone! Guest guest
malabsorbtion needs enzymes www.houstonni.com you may find b-12 injections helpful to i would avoid nutritonalists like the plague, they are basically taught rules and don't come through the right background which would be biochemistry, same issue with doctors actually. at the end of the day its important to undertsand that testing does not advance you an inch becuse it doesn't actually do anything and generally theres very little that can be told that you can't already work out and act on hair rests can be useful, perhaps parasite tests as well peanut butter might be an issue fish or a decent krill oil? candex etc for yeast its all there, the things to do, no nutritonalist is up even slightly to message boards and whats on the web americans seem paralysed when it come to doing things themselves like its not allowed? a social sin not to be wallowing in so many dolalrs that expensive health care cannot be afforded? mother of newborns sit by while their babies have thier pancreases severely damaged by the hep b vaccine a life of inversions, a cruel shallow culture > > Hi Everyone! Guest guest
I got one of the Blood Type Diet books and was interested in it until I did some research. One of the basic premises is that the original human blood type was 0, and the other types developed in the recent phase of the prehistoric era along with the move to cities and cultivation of grains, etc. However, other primates have blood types somewhat analogous to human blood types, which to me would indicate that the differentiation of blood types occurred long ago in the human race as well as the primates. So I think the Blood Type diet is based on specious reasoning, although some of the observed evidence regarding lectin intolerance and suspectibility to certain diseases based on blood types could be accurate. The other thing that got me is that I am an O, and they put CFIDS as a disease for another blood type; also, I am an extreme ectomorph and that doesn't go with with O either. The science behind SCD seems to me a lot more sound. And oddly, it's close to the paleolithic O diet that our ancestors all ate. HEeln Type O's really shouldn't eat dairy > > > > > > > --------------------------------- > Yahoo! Mail goes everywhere you do. Guest guest
Hi : It was Live Right 4 Your Type. I'm not too worried about it, just curious. As an O, the SC diet is no conflict for me.
