Guest guest
Hi my name is . I had to respond to you. My husband of 28 years wanted me to write the letter and he sign it. I told him " I will not " you are to write it. He wrote one sentence. When I went to clinic on June 13th, he talked with Dr R and told him what he thought. Dr R accepted his one sentence. I don't think it the length, but the meaning of the letter. Take care and may God bless you is my prayer. Guest guest
Hi Stormy, I got approval Friday and have August 10 as a surgery date. I'd be glad to tell you about my husband's support letter. He writes rather formally (and is as allergic to writing as your husband sounds to be), so his letter was a little over one page in length. That includes the space taken up by the date line and Dr. R's address - 1.25 inch margins - etc. He wrote about how long we'd known each other (married 21 1/2 years), how my weight had climbed over the years with each pregnancy, how it affects my life healthwise-careerwise-socially, what he wants for me in life, and the understanding he has about the risks of the surgery, and the importance of following up with a doctor and taking supplements after the surgery. How's that? Hope it helps. Sherry

There's a good one on Dr. R.'s website, and you can kind of take your ideas from that about what he's looking for. Carlton wrote about how he understood the surgery would be, what the risks might be, what kind of support I would need afterwards, and said that he completely supported my taking this step. Good luck! Blair

He has to say he's supportive and understands the risks of the surgery and he needs to mention what the risks are.

It was ok. We did a bit of editing together though. He can't express himself verbally and isn't much better on paper. Doc just wants to know you have a supportive person behind you. Your person acknowledges the risks, wants you to lead a happier life and knows this surgery will help you and they will be there for you. It will start to flow when you cock that trigger. Guest guest
, Thanks so much for sharing that! My husband does not like to write, so I convinced him to write what he wanted on paper, and then I typed it, printed it out, and he signed it. He did'nt want to write because he has had to hear about this for over a year and feels like he knows all about it. Granted, he probably does, but he still had to write a support letter to satisfy Dr. R. Thanks again for sharing about your husbands letter. Stormy > Hi my name is . I had to respond to you.
