Guest guest
, there's lots of information on the cost on Dr. R's website. Guest guest
Flo, you are correct...the fee is $7,000, you have to pay up front...the good news is they take plastic!! Then anesthetic bill must be prepaid...$600 and of course, the good Doc's fee. I am scheduled as self-pay for the 10th at Surgical Center. I am still hopeful that my hubby's employer is going to approve me, and if they don't I'll still hound them post-op! We decided to not wait any longer, so we are flipping up the couch cushions and digging deep for all the change we can get!! If you leave early and have no complications you will get $$$back-20%. I will be getting $2800 back. Hotel gas and food are extra. We spent about $600 but we came from the upper peninsula of Michigan. 1150 miles. Dena Lawton355/328 July 12thMGB
Guest guest
Hi, > > << I am scheduled as self-pay for the 10th at Surgical Center. >> > IMPORTANT Note! The fee at the surgical center is a " Flat Fee. " ($7.000.00) What that means is your a guaranteed that price. The Hospital self pay fee ($11,000.00) is not a " Flat Fee " it is a " down payment/deposit/earnest money " and you are at risk of getting a bigger bill as well as the usual expectation of a smaller bill and a refund than the deposit. I will wait and let this sink in... RR Rutledge, M.D., F.A.C.S.
