Guest guest
If I were starting over I would get the following for: *Yoghurt:* large canning jars (Put the milk in and leave it in the oven with the light on - it's both cheap and easy and you don't have so many containers to clean... plus you can make tonnes in just one 'go' if you find you go through a lot of it.) *Juicing and Grinding: * I would get a magic bullet. The t.v. offer has a juicer. I have a big blender and a big juicer that are always out on my counter and now am sorry because juice is nicer if it is made one glass (with each person's favourite recipe) at a time and my big juicer is such a big deal to clean that I make a whole jug of all the same juice and then not everybody likes it. Same goes for grinding nuts... generally you only need a cup or two at a time... the Bullet looks fine for that. *Mixing: *I could never go without my food processor! It purees veggies to turn into 'pizza dough', it grinds up nuts for cookies, it makes huge quantities of smoothies (then we put it in paper cups so we have 'smoothie pops' all week long - again, in just one 'go'), it 'creams' my soups... and on and on and on Last note about a *mixer*... I have a big Hamilton Beach. I like it but generally only use it to do my egg whites. If I had to do it again I'd go with a cheaper model. $250 to whip egg whites is ridiculous. I look forward to seeing what other people say about this. KimS - celiac family scd 2003-2004
