Way to go Cher!!!! From one baby boomer to another, I like you, have spent

the whole half century being sick and feeling bad. After September 6th, I am

going to live for the first time in my life. And I am looking forward to it.

It's like that first half of my life has been wasted. I plan to make up for

time lost. You take care and may God bless you is my prayer.

(waiting to start a new life)

Thanks Flo, I look forward to it. I don't know if this tired body of mine can

still shake it up, but if I get to have this I'll give it the best I've got

to give!!!!

LOL LOL LOL that's because that is what I weighed in April when I went for

PCP approval, haven't been on those nasty scales since. I don't think I want

to know cause this ole woman has not been pushing back from the table. The

more I think about the surgery, the more I want chicken wings, steak, baked

potato's with butter and sour cream and my very favorite cheeseburgers with

lettuce, tomato, onion and mayo heavy on the mayo. LOL LOL

Thank you very much Debbie for your kind words! I just loveeeee getting on

here and seeing a post and someone is being so nice to me!! I guess when

you've spent your whole life feeling ostracized (sp)? by people, to finally

have camaraderie with so many who feel the same pain, tears, joy and thrills

that every approval brings it makes every day better!!! I finally feel for

the first time in my life total acceptance and that's something I only had

with my immediate family. I now feel I have this huge wonderful extended

family and I love it!!!!!

I gained 15 pounds in a matter of a few weeks when my insurance first

denied me.

But, wow, your letter just gave me a shock. It made me realize that 2.5

months ago (pre-MGB), I would have been drooling over the list of stuff

you posted. I just looked at it now and wondered why it ever seemed all

that enticing to me. What a profound change! Steak and potatoes used

to call my name. Just a few minutes ago, I just put half a bowl of soup

in the fridge because I was already full. I have snacks sitting around

*UNOPENED* on top the fridge and in the cabinets. UNOPENED. I have

leftover snacks that I *don't finish.* I just have to shake my head in

amazement. This is *me*?? It is so hard to believe.

So we've gotta get you there. You're going to be amazed, too. What is

causing the hold up for you? I seem to have missed your original post.

Kind regards,
