Guest guest
Today my 12 year old went on a day-long field trip (6 a.m. to 7 p.m.). I don't know what all he ate. He was riding with the principal, who I know was bringing snacks and sodas for the kids he'd bribed to ride with him. My 12 year old has mild, mild, mild ADHD issues. Some rage issues which have improved greatly after a year of psycho-therapy. Bright, intelligent kid. As I learn, my 9 year old (extreme adhd and lifelong history of GERD problems) and I move closer to SCD---we're at 90% maybe. Long story, but we have even this week turned away from our vegetarianism----18 years for me and my husband, and entire lives for my children. (Really long story---we're only buying organic, no antibiotics, no hormores, free ranging---expensive!) The return from a trip to Paris in June marks when we go intro and 100%. We've seen incredible changes so far. (Also doing digestive enzymes, cod liver oil, and probiotics because of lab work results.) Anyway, this does mean that my husband and 12 year old have been eating much, much better, very SCD at home. So, the 12 year old goes off on the this trip and eats junk, presumably. He was given no specific direction or rules. Now he is miserable. His stomach hurts so bad. He says that he's better if he doesn't move, but it just horrible if he moves. There have been repeated trips to the bathroom, so I suspect diarrhea, but I don't know. I'm not trying to teach him any lessons right now. He feels bad enough. I just want him ready for school tomorrow. Is there anything I can do for him that would help in this situation? Anything I can give him that would help his body cope better with what he has done to it? Angie
Guest guest
An epsom salt bath will probably help him to feel better. Some enzymes perhaps? I doubt he'll be indulging in whatever he ate this afternoon again any time soon. Jody mom to -7 and -9 SCD 1/
Guest guest
Wah! We're having our bathroom redone (necessity--rotten subflooring) and do not have a functional bath/shower. We've been showering at my husband's college. Enzymes cannot hurt, right? Poor guy. Need to go check on him. So, if epson salt would help, would some Magnesium taken orally help? he claims not to have diarrhea. Angie > > An epsom salt bath will probably help him to feel better.
