Does Anyone ever use the chat room?

I have been there a few times there and no one is hardly ever there either.

We did have a nice chat last Thursday on a web site called onhealth (I think

thats right) where sweet Amy Poe has her story posted. Maybe we should

schedule some times for Chat at egroups....what do you all think?? Amy, will

there be another chat this Thursday at your site? If so, let us know and

post the address again...make sure you tell us what time zone too.. I think

some missed out cause they were confused on that...

Here's what you do. When you want to chat, send a message to the group

that has the subject ANYBODY WANNA CHAT??!!! Then say, " I'm in the chat

room now " (and give the time and time zone, like 3:00 p.m. EDT).

Wait about 5-10 minutes sitting in the chat room and people will join

you. A lot of people are online about 7:30-9:30 p.m. so that is a good

time to do this, too.

Malinda & , I've been a part of two or three chats and is

right. Someone usually announces in their posting that they are going

to the chat room and invites others. Or announces that there will be

a chat at such and such time. hope this helps.

Yes, we have a chat every Thursday at 4:00 p.m. Eastern for anyone who would

like to come join us! It is open to anyone interested in weight loss, not

just surgery, but generally it's mostly MGB people! Our site is

www.onhealth.com <http://www.onhealth.com> , and you can get to the chat

from my story (link below, in my signature).

As for the egroups chat, there have been many technical difficulties, so

sometimes people can't get in. We used to do a chat at 9:00 p.m. eastern

time almost every night, but I think most of us are post op now and trying

to resume our lives! If you want to chat, just post to the MGB list a time,

and generally some will join in. That's what has worked in the past!
