Dear Antoinnette,

Thanks for the hints.Unfortunately living in southern Spain has it's limits

with access to certain foods etc. I do my best...

Never heard of protease so I'm not taking it anyway.

You have basically confirmed my regular food choices on eating high caloric

foods such as avacados etc. which I always do genreally to keep my weight up.

Eating eight times a day, I agree is no joke. I'm always hungry anyway and eat

all day normally. Maybe not 8 times due to work ...but I normally eat 5 times a

day - this is normal in Spain -we have 5 meals :-). I usually have 2 bananas a

day plus a small avocado with plenty of olive oil. Only oil we use. The issue is

the bananans stop me up as do eggs and I do eat many of these. 1 to 2 if small,

eggs a day. Obvious thing is to cut down on eggs... (and even bananas -but my

potacium level drops easily so I really need those bananas!). When I'm

constipated I increase salads, raw fruit (kiwis, oranges) that help with bowel

movements. But when I see the mucus, I stop all fruit thinking it's too much

sugar. I've read that even LEGAL fruits can be harmful....

I do make up lots of broths: chicken as well as fish. Sometimes the fish feels

better it also takes less time to make:-). Eat the boiled meet from these as

well. Also, seem to be ok with grilled beef or turkey, or fish. And steemed or

boiled carrots ( from soup), string beans & zuquini( no seeds).

Gave up on yogurt ages ago before I discovered the goat milk suggestion.

Thinking of trying it now. No probiotic( tried some - spent a forturne on

shipping but didn't help) and seem to be fine without them, normally. I do eat

lots of LEGAL cheeses. Harvarti especially as this is mentioned on the list.

Your sugestion to reduce the cheeses with bovine leaves me with basically the

goat cheeses instead of cow, right? Just any goat cheese? There must be the same

protocol for goat cheeses as for cow cheese, not all are permited, right? Kind

find listed info about this. What about sheep cheese? Anyone know about this? In

Spain we certainly have plenty of this as well as lots of cheeses mixed: goat &

sheep. Off them since started the diet as they weren't mentioned in the book.

As for vitamins: I take FREEDA, SCD Multivitamin. I don't have access to my

old doctor anymore and I haven't found another one who is even slightly(as he

was) sympathetic to the Diet. I've had B short before, but when I was in severe

bouts with hemorrhaging. I don't think I'm in a stage that warrants this.

As for REVIEWING everything ingested. I do. To the point of paranoya according

to others. No error there. Basically what brings on any kind of disorder will be

high level emotional stress that's normally work related. I take Bach Flowers

when this starts to build up. But this time I hadn't ....Mia culpa....

As for the foot inflamation I read that in REFLEXOLOGY the map of the human

body is reflected on the souls of our feet. The area that gets inflamed or hurts

our feet often is asociated with the organs in our body - our intestins. Neve

took one of these massages for the problem, wonder if this type of therapy

works.

I seem to be better today. I've been taking Ispaghula Husk seed (in powder). I

could only find info about this under herbal medicine, but it's something that

was given to me by my old doctor (and bought in regular pharmacy) when he said

to take incase of constipation or even slightly loose movements. He insisted

that it was safe, and it hasn't done harm on other occassions - it instead

helps. I can't find any info about this either on either the SCD or this Site. I

also increased my regular dose of Mesalazine ( Spanish brand: Claversal) from

1,500mg to 3,000mg. I'm not sure if it's a combination of all mentioned as well

as forcing myself to do less work. Won't cry victory though....not for a few

days. Don't want the gods to hear me less they get angry again :-).

Thanks again.

> I've noticed that things start to look ugly when there is mucus

build up in the stools (and of course stress buildup). Not to mention

slight inflamation of the heel(s) or arch of foot - anyone else with

these signs? Muscus with very regular bowel movements.
