Guest guest
For whoever asked about the liquid goat yogurt: I have made goat yogurt several times (and cow yogurt numerous times). The goat yogurt definitely is liquid, even after refrigeration. It is thicker than milk but nothing near a cow yogurt. Even after dripping it for 24 hours, it is still liquidy, but thicker. (I used a coffee filter for the dripping, and it is possible that maybe another method (like a thin dishtowel) would work better? I don't know. The coffee filter works great when I am dripping cow yogurt.) Maybe I need to drip goat yogurt for longer than 24 hours? I used Meyenburg goat milk. One thing that I found was that when I make the goat yogurt and use the new glass jars (with the Yogourmet yogurt maker), that I have to make sure that the water level is above the yogurt. So, I have to add more water than the 'add water' lines would indicate. (I don't know if this is true with the cow yogurt as I always use the plastic container for the cow yogurt in order to not get them mixed up.) You may have gotten your question answered sooner - I am behind in reading the messages. Carolyn
