Guest guest
I had to share with the serve and MOSTLY to the newcomer. We have been eating a strict SCDiet for close to three months now. We know for certain that we are on the right track with out a doubt. With just SCD food alone and " fanatical adherance " that Elain suggests in her book (making sure that all food is digesting well), plus some good vitamins, essential fatty oils and wonderful SCD probiotics and goat yogurt, to night our daughter that was diagnosed with Celiac and injured intestines DEC 2004 and Autism Spectrum Disorder this Spring 2006 played with her sister for the first time today! It was nice to have a reason to get out that camcorder. She has been such a sick baby....most pictures are so sad to look at. We have had many, many firsts. Prior to SCD she did not talk, did not smile, did not laugh, did not like to be touched, developed rickets, had delerium spells, dark circles under her eyes, strange rashes, painful thrush, diaper rashes, night terrors, cramps, diarrhea crises, had developed countless food sensitivities and was all around sick. Today she jokes, tries to talk (sounds like a little chimp), smiles and runs accross the floor in joy. To day she is trying to talk her first words (she use to be silent...and would only cry and scream), I have recieved my first hugs and kisses and got to hear my first " ma ma ma " . I truly thought that at one time nothing would work. We tried so many things since Dec 2004. Even have a second mortgage on the house to show for it. Expensive supplements, that kept her intestines irritated and not able to heal. Hospitalizations, tests and more tests. Medications, anti- fungals....the list goes on. AND FOR WHAT? We wasted 15 months with other diet plans.....she started to vanish from us with each passing month deeper and deeper into the world of AUTISM. My heart was breaking to loose her. We are so grateful to have found this solution. And to think that for SOME of us it can be this simple. I am glad we trusted this solution before dedicating ourselves to other ways again. We cam very desperate to this serve. We have had much guidance from Grammy B., Lucy R from Lucy's Kitchen and from the moderators. Many new friendships. If not for them we would have never known that this could be just this simple. A week ago her last stim behavior of fanaticaly rubbing her hands and tapping her face vanished...her stim with water and the sink has turned into a normal behavior of " Just " playing with water. If you are new hang in there....if you are lucky with " Just " fanatical adherance and following the BTVC book you may be able to have success this way. We are saving countless dollars in medical expense and supplement expense these days. When the gut heals eating this way...many if not all intolerances and digestive disturbances vanish....this is proving true with her. We now can eat the ALMOND BREAD! Phenols, oxylates, other proteins, casein and " food " in general was becoming and issue....this is not funny but I think she was becoming " food intolerant " ...they call this REFRACTORY SPRUE and it can be deadly. We truly thought we may loose her. When healed the body can do it's job again the way nature intended. God Bless all Sincerely, Antoinette mom to -4 (celiac/adhd) KiKI-2 (autistic/celiac) Bubbles-1 (hyperekplexia)....and we are all healing thanks to SCD. Guest guest
Antoinette, That is so great to hear! My son is not labeled autistic- at times we have felt he's shown traits- nothing definable, but he hangs around the ADHD/OCD range of the spectrum with no label. He will play with others but absolutely has never been able to play imaginatively by himself. His toys sit in his room collecting dust and he only obsessively thinks about, talks about, wakes up in the middle of the night to tell me about- video games! (Yes, I still am a little miffed at hubby for introducing my 2 yr old to snowboarding on the xbox!) I am thrilled Kiki has progressed so far and I do find your family's story very inspiring! Janet, mom to Cody- SCD since 4-17-06- multi food allergies, leaky gut, asthma- currently off meds, MB12 shots 1 1/2 yrs, dairy & soy free 4 yrs, GF 2 plus years, etc etc > > I had to share with the serve and MOSTLY to the newcomer. ..... to night our daughter that was diagnosed with Celiac and > injured intestines DEC 2004 and Autism Spectrum Disorder this Spring > 2006 played with her sister for the first time today! Guest guest
Janet it is fuuny that you said that toys set in his room collecting dust. This was the first thing that alerted us that KiKi was truly different. She never played. It is said but at Christmas I didn't want to buy any toys for her. Why? So they could collect dust? It has truly been a blessing to see her play like a child should. She is awakening to a new world around her. A true blessing for all our famiy who worried so much about her. We had been convinced that this condition may be incurable. Thank God they where wrong. Thanks to going ahead with the early interveniton evaluation, she has made impression on 8 evaluators and two doctors. They all are now going to start recomending SCD to some of the parents who have kids like ours. She is truly a messanger sent by God. Many of our kids here are. They have a story to tell the world. Thank you for your reply and sharing our enthusiasm about SCD success. Antoinette (mother of KIKi 2 years old celiac/injured intestines/autistic and loosing her diagnosis...we hope....on the way to good things....when no other way worked for us, started only 2/06 and already having such success with Elaine's suggestion of " fanatical adherance " ) > > > > I had to share with the serve and MOSTLY to the newcomer. > .... to night our daughter that was diagnosed with Celiac and > > injured intestines DEC 2004 and Autism Spectrum Disorder this Spring > > 2006 played with her sister for the first time today! >
