Guest guest
Hi all - Great informative posts about the 2-3 month " regressions " via yeast - seeing it big time in our 21 month old daughter, too (both kids have rashiness high on buttocks - that plus behaviour and I know it's yeast) Loved Summer's ideas on rotating OLE, OOO, GSE (4 days of each, right?)and that seems to keep things at bay with Cameron, but I notice I need to keep increasing dosages and I don't think that's a good idea long term... SO! Have been paring back on fruits and honey, but I need more ideas for portable snacks? Saw on Healing Crow someone believed that hard cheese feeds yeast... is that true? Have been giving Cameron the odd tiny piece of goat cheddar and not seeing anything to make me stop. Any portable veggie snacks that kids like? Mia loves boiled baby carrots, but Cameron turns his nose up at them... Thanks so much, Lynn - Mommy to Cameron (ASD) 4 years old and Mia (21 months old)about the 3 month mark I think... and DH (off the SCD wagon - sigh!) Guest guest
Hello Lynn, Yes, the hard goat cheese can feed yeast for some people. Some people have no problem, so can eat sparingly, and some not at all. There is no hard and fast rule in this area. We keep some things like honey to a minimum, encouraging snacks like avocados, which we do well with.
