Guest guest
I am new to this group, I am a single mother of 3. My oldest is 91/2 diagnosed Oct.11,1999! I was pregnant with boy/girl twins who I delivered 4months later! I went into a very dark place no computer stuff going on back then but I managed to get the best book ever called Facing Autism. I put my son on the gfcf diet that night!! I did the DAN Dr. and ran a few tests but the diet was the most promising. He stayed on that diet for 2yrs. but then entered public school and I lost all control plus I ran out of money because I also had the twins on it. I am reading the BOOK and soon will start the SCD! But I read the email and want to tell you my son has recently refused to go to the pool. I have him on a homeopathy remedy with a professional and this last dose really helped him get out of his grey ill looking symptoms and this is when he began to refuse, fuse, cry ,and get a panic look on his face and I realized he wasn't doing that to get out of swimming but that something wasn't right. He is non-verbal. Your question gave me chills just suppose my son was reacting to the chlorine or whatever goes into the pool. He would always sleep so well those nights but when he sleeps like that it usually means he has a headache. Well I thought I would throw that out there.. Thanks Trina Hamer
Guest guest
Bravo to you for figuring it out! I remember begging my mother to not put perfume on and it took us another 15 years to figure it out! My poor son, who's gut is awful, gagged and wretched with baths until we figured out it was the silly baby soap from the hospital I was trying to use up. Our kiddos tell us if we read the clues and follow their lead! Good luck on the diet. By the way - one of the nice toppings on the SCD cake is that now I don't get so sick when I smell artificial perfumes - sometimes I can now even appreciate that they probably smell good (I still don't feel like toxifying my air with the perfumes, but I can see that others think they are nice).
