To clarify for any interested: All my posts are prefaced with " mHBOT: x week in " (except the last one, which is the last part under " my psych rotation " ). In the future, they will all have the former heading. Updates once a week. We're really pleased so far. I have not gotten a chance to read the boards as much as I would like lately, but I was disappointed to see such a brouhaha lately. I love pecanbread, and think that can be a huge help to so many. However, IMO, squabbling, tattling and verbally spanking each other ON LIST creates WAY more drama than most families care to view. I get plenty of that in real life ;-) Carol F. was kind enough a while back to email me offlist regarding what was and was not okay to post on, topic-wise (as we do a few extras, lol). It's a tough call - there ARE some people for whom 'standard' SCD isn't enough - for now. My son is one of them. He's doing great with some add-ons (and eliminations)which I learned about on the Net, in groups, through his doctors and lab results. How would I have been able to learn more if I wasn't aware of it? Carol's point (and I think it's a good one), was that regardless of what other dietary/supplemental applications one may do, THIS list is just for SCD; Gottschall-style. Lord knows there is no dearth of material there. However, I think that my sugggestion was back then is still valid - perhaps there could be a " default " link here for other info/group addys where people could take extracurricular ideas. That way, one could just refer to the link in a discussion w/out using up list space (like I am doing now :-P ). Whatever it is we are (gonna be a bookwriter, or a new listowner or Nobel prize winner, etc) we are ALL involved with getting a handle on our families' health. Strikes me as more to unite us than split us up, you know? Thanks for 'listening'. Sorry. -christine: ASD mom w/ a big mouth Mostly Paleo (no potato involved, lol) and Glenn: SCD/LOD, no dairy, organic everything, pastured meat, rotation diet, Feingold, Housten's enzymes, supplements, probiotics, mHBOT.
