Guest guest
I would like to ask that the list return to supporting those who are following SCD. This list has been around for a long time and I don't want to see it die out because of a disagreement between some of the members of the list. SCD has helped many people regain their health. We have read their first-hand testimonials. Let's focus on supporting each other. SCD alone works for many people. Strict adherance to SCD, along with additional supplements has worked for many people. I don't mind when other therapy options for ASD kids are mentioned, but let's keep in mind that this list is not purely a list for ASD kids. In-depth discussions of therapy options would probably be best if done off-list or on a list that deals with the specific topic. There are lists for HBOT, chelation, enzymes, ABA, VBA, Floortime, RDI, and probably 100+ other ASD related topics. Let's also keep in mind that there are over 2400 people subscribed to this list. It is a great place to ask questions, post updates and support each other. Just as the description of the list says. The " tone " of a written message sent by someone who is a stranger, is virtually impossible to determine with accuracy. What one person perceives as " curt and short " is viewed by someone else as " accurate and concise " . What one person views as " long-winded " is viewed by someone else as " detailed " . So, let's return our focus to supporting each other, knowing full well that no two people (ASD or otherwise) have the exact same issues. There is probably not a one-size-fits-all solution. But since this is an SCD list, let's assume that the one thing we all have in common is the Specific Carbohydrate Diet- and following it to the very best of our abilities.
