Guest guest
Hey -- I sent you a loonnngggg e-mail earlier today...did you get it? I seem to have trouble sending a private e-mail through e-groups... This is what I told the other : " All is well with me--hardly seems like I've had surgery! No pain, still have a good appetite--just doesn't take much to fill it! I have noticed that I have NO cravings for sweets, junk foods, the things I used to crave. I have actually been craving OLIVES--weird, huh? Have you been eating " real " food? I've been, but selectively... mashed potatoes, oatmeal, soups, etc. I have eaten salad (because I was craving it--WOW--and it went down fine!) and grapes, and bites of other stuff. Only thing that made me sick was chicken noodle soup and a few bites of chicken lo mein I had--decided it must be noodles that don't agree with me. I can live with that! I'm not losing as rapidly as everyone else--not by a long shot--I've lost about 11 or 12 pounds total. But, I expected that--I hardly ate before the surgery... I had this weird habit of not eating at all (or barely anything) for several days, then " binging " and eating alot on one day--if I averaged the calories out, I ate less than 1000 calories a day, still seemed to always be gaining. So, now I'm losing...I can live with losing slow, so long as I keep losing! Another good thing about the MGB--I quit smoking! I guess I used to smoke when I was " dieting, " which was all the time. Now when I'm hungry I'll have a little something to eat...no need to smoke! I've been a casual smoker for 15 years--it will truly be a blessing if I really can quit for good! (no cigs since saturday--5 days and counting!) " Let me know how you're doing...and try not to make me feel bad about my meager loss... (I'd love to hear from any other slow starters--I need to know that I'm within the realm of " normal " --lol) --a > Hey a, > > You calm, nice mannered mom, you. smile. Guest guest
Dear a, I did not get your letter! I am SpecialAngel36 at excite . com. (I wrote it this way so the address would show) I have never had any success using this site for contacting people privately. It doesn't work for some reason. I think your weight loss is very good especially from how messed up your metabolism got before MGB. (Either that or you got the 'Attorney's Cut',just ask or T. LOL ) So far I have lost 25 pounds...yes, it has slowed everyone! But my loss won't really count until I reach the 35 pound limit since that is how much I gained after finding out about this site. Congratulations on quitting smoking! Now we just have to get Tami to stop...LOL. ( I know. After 18 years of smoking no one could tell me to quit either!) Take care and I will send you an email to your private address so you can have my address that way too. Love, T > > Hey a, > > > > You calm, nice mannered mom, you. smile.
