Guest guest
Anybody who is expecting me to call, we have *not* had five spare minutes since getting here. I cannot believe how many folks I'm getting to meet and how much fun this is. People waiting on insurance approvals that I'm doing, I am still working on these even if you don't hear from me personally -- your insurance is hearing from me whenever I find a phone (heheheh, I brought all their phone numbers!) A couple of people got approval today and I expect a couple of more tomorrow. I will try to call you if I can, but all the Michigan crew is on the schedule tomorrow so I will be at the hospital all day. Today, we were in the surgery pre-op areas and met Sara and her hubby, Vaughn. Both of them are the sweetest people! We also got to meet Page right before they took her in and she posed for some pre-op pictures in her sexy leggings and footies and stylish cap! Found out that Sheila Weeks, the pre-op nurse that does I.V.'s is camera shy. We also found out that people who have afternoon surgery do *not* get Sheila. They had a hard time doing Sara's I.V. At the end of the day, my feet were killing me -- keeping up with is a real challenge. That girl can MOVE OUT! I'm doing a fast trot next to her all day. If energy expended had anything to do with weight, would weigh about 67 pounds, I think. So tonight, after everyone had left and we were sitting on the sides of our beds winding down, I looked down at my legs. I was surprised that they weren't at all swollen, even after a day like today (when they would have been elephant legs before surgery, for sure). But then I saw a sort of " dent " in the front of one of my legs and I said to , " Oh, I do have some swelling afterall. Look, there's a dent. " When I mashed on it, though, it didn't feel like one of those pits from swelling. I flexed my leg. LO!!! IT WAS A MUSCLE I HAVEN'T SEEN IN YEARS!!! This is pretty all right! Later, ya'll!
