Hi! Genz! You may not remember me...I have asked you several insurance

questions...I am so excited because...yeeehawww I have a surgery date! I waited

two weeks and never heard from Dr.R about my packet, so today I called and they

said everything's a Go! My two biggest questions are 1.Do I have to have my

wedding rings cut off? I can't get them off but haven't really heard anything

about it lately. I had my 9 hour back surgery two years ago and had no problems

then. 2. Can I get my post-op scripts filled before I go to Durham? Thanks, I am

sure lots of other questions will pop up later. Tami Stauffer----- Original

Hi Eliz,

Good luck on the fight with the insurance company. I hope you have me

down.

Prudential paid out of network 80/20. If you need more info just call me 817/

577-0919.

Best Wishes,

Genz

Hi Tami,

Congratulations!!!!!!!! I'm really happy for you. I don't know about the

rings. If I were you I would have them cut off, because in about two months post

-op you'll need to have them resized anyway. I was in the shower yesterday and I

have three rings on one finger and they all three slid off while I as in the

shower. It scared me so now I don't wear them. It's hard to believe I need to

have them resized already. Call Dr. R's office...they may let you tape them up.

I got my post-op scripts filled before I went to Durham. My PCP wrote

out my prescriptions after I faxed him a list of what I needed....I took it from

the manual. The problem with that is Dr. R made some changes and I purchased

meds I didn't need. It's my understanding that he has made even more changes

since my surgery. I never even opened my pain meds.....but I'm glad I had them

just in case I needed them, it was worth the $15 co-pay for the added security

and peace of mind. For sure you can take the Carafate and Prevacid with you. You

need those immediately. Don't forget the Tums,

the wintergreen and the berry flavored ones are the best.

Make sure you take a copy of your EKG and Bloodwork to the hospital with

you. I took an extra copy with me and I was glad because they couldn't find it

in my file.

You don't need a lot of stuff at the hospital. You won't have an

opportunity to get dolled up because you are out of there before you know it. I

never needed a robe, my own gown or house shoes.

If you have anymore questions...let me know. Good luck.

Best Wishes,

Genz
