I think the chat room is rarely used..it seems the emails (posts for you web readers) are used instead of chat. You will find all the support you need right here in this group. Just post and people will embrace you..you'll see! How long did you research and wait before you had your MGB? I hear the first 2-4 weeks are the hardest for wanting to eat and then you can! I am pre-op so I cannot offer any advice from being there myself yet. Did you have any complications with your surgery or did you think it was pretty easy? I have been asking everyone how they rate the pain on a 1 to 10 scale and some people say a 3 and some as high as 7. What did you think? Easier or harder than you expected? I know all of us pre-ops are so happy for you all on the other side...we just wish we were there too already complication free!! ANyway..didn't mean to go on and on...but welcome to this group and I know you will find lots of support here! Holly in Illinois
Guest guest
Thanks Holly, Complications? Yeah I'm 's daughter!!!LOL Really, Dr R put the ng tube (YUCK!!) in for me! His staple gun misfired so he tells me!! ) In post op clinic he said the gun stapled my stomach to the tube??????????? He had to fix that so he put the NG tube in just in case. I can't remember any pain I just hit my morph button every time I woke up just in case!! LOL It was alot easier than I expected. I had my gall bladder out by lapriscopic a few years ago. This is like a vacation to that! I promise. Only discomfort I had was the stupid tube! But soon as they pulled it out I was my old self again. Happily a MGB postie!
