Guest guest
Yes, and this goes along with a damaged gut and a vicious cycle going unchecked. I turned orange too once eating too many carrots. I had missed celiac disease and damaged intestines most of my life..., but it must be a atypical type...because GLUTEN FREE DID NOT WORK. Antoinette (celiac 02/06) turning organe I have read that turning orange from carrots is because the liver isn't functioning right. Pearl --------------------------------- New Yahoo! It does not nec mean liver issues. As carotenes are NOT toxic (just unbecoming, lol) in large doses, if you get that 'tan in a can' tint, lay off. However, straight Vitamin A CAN be toxic. That's why it is increasingly difficult to find OTC. Most supplements will say " Vitamin A " on the front, but when you read the ingredients and breakdown on the back list, you will likely see " alpha, beta carotenes, lutien, axsanthin, etc " instead. FWIW, most celiacs do fine on just GF. However, having 'missed' or undx celiac would certainly result in more widespread, compounded damage. If it happened for my son at only three years of age, I cannot imagine how extensive that damage would be as an adult. So, not nec 'atypical' celiac, but that disorder plus all its unchecked results. -christine
