Guest guest
We are so thrilled. A brief recap: Ben, 16, GFCF 5 years, still some issues to resolve. Myself, MS, GFCF 3 years. Big time leaky guts! lol SCD since Jan 1st, 2006. I felt sluggish and miserable during die off, Ben had 100-104 degree fevers for two weeks, then a break, then another week. It was very tough. Food cravings, another change in diet! Wow! And the kitchen time! I was so exhausted. Now we finally have a system and a routine. So,we have been consuming some fermented goat products including kefir and yogurt, fermented cream, (delicious, BTW), even made ketchup with kefir grains. Butter, that blew my mind. Previously anything remotely dairy made Ben angry, depressed, it was heartbreaking. This could last for several days after a mysterious infringement on his diet. Now, he is wonderful after he consumes butter, yogurt, kefir, and yesterday.....cheese. I am so blown away. This is not the placebo affect. I can reassure you, Ben would rather play War Craft any day over reading about leaky guts. It is real. A gastro doctor, after hearing Elaine speak, said " he wished he had thought of it, it is so simple " . I wish she was alive so I could tell her how, for the rest of our lives, we will always be grateful to her for her amazing work on this " very simple program " . Thanks everyone for your hard work!!! You are really changing lives and, in some ways, saving them. Lorraine

Guest guest
Dearest Loraine, this is soooo wonderful! It just made me sooooo happy to read this! Like us you are having success! I can't wait until we are 5-6 months out like you guys! Everyday, I just cry, when I think of what life was like just three months ago....tears of relief....that it is finally over. I am sure you feel the same way! After messing around with so many other ways last year....it is sad that I didn't take heed sooner to how " simple " it was. Like many I thought the solution had to be much more complex....and now we have a second mortgage thanks to high medical expense and loosing the business, which was also related, in a round about way. Never the less I love what you say here! More need to hear this. Our daughter never talked....she now is trying.....we are hoping that worse case scenario that she is aspergers....BEST CASE that she looses her diagnosis like some kids doing SCD. WE too are loosing many food sensitivities! THANK GOD this works! Our doctors are also impressed. The more doctors that see these miracles the more likely word will spread and treatments that are not all that helpful will stop. God Bless you and this wonderful message of hope and " keeping it simple " ! Sometimes " just " doing the SCD thing works.
