Guest guest
We also make the goat yogurt. If you have a true allergy to bovine/cow milk, then yes it may be wise to use the Progurt Starter from GI Pro Health (it is dairy free). We had/have no problems using the Yorgurmet from Lucy's kitchen. Our problems where not " true " allergy to cow diary. WE had a casein sensitivity problem, where the casein was having a casomorphine reaction and causing bizarre behavior. We discovered that in 24 hour batch of SCD yogurt that this did not happen. I bought both and mix them according to direction. (half progurt and half yorgurmet) This way we get the benefits of both probiotics in the products. Most starters that you can buy have illegal probiotics (bifidus) in them and illegal pectin. So we never bothered with the ones you can find in the stores. Hope this helps, Antoinette (celiac 2/06)
