Ok guys, today is my 3 month birthday. All together now.... " Haaapppy

Birthdaaaayy toooo meeee! " Yep, 3 months ago, I was waiting for Christmas,

my chance to dance with the doctor.

As of this morning, I had lost 45.5 lbs. That, I must admit, is a bit of a

disappointment. I had wished for more, but hey, it's not bad. It's just that

I have NEVER beeen AVERAGE at anything before.... (she says in her southern

drawl.....)

I has been a wonderful, glorious experience. Some parts are very hard. The

hardest part for me was the second month. I didn't lose any weight for a few

weeks and was getting despondent! Exercise helped the weight loss. I can't

say I love it, but I haven't been exercising the last couple of weeks and

guess what....I haven't lost any weight either. SO tonight, I am back on the

track, walking my butt off....literally!

I am a member of the green team. I can throw up at the drop of a hat.

Sometimes I don't throw up for days and I think it is over and then I throw

up again. Can't tell what causes it. It really isn't too much of a problem

EXCEPT when you have MGB guests visiting and you can't drive home from Durham

because you keep having to pull off to the side of the road. (It was an

exception to the rule!)

I love the people on these lists. I can't believe how close I feel to so many

of you. We truly are connected at the heart! I know that you are there to

lift me up when it is hard and to push me on when I need that too, and ALWAYS

to make me laugh! Only problem is that I work from home and some days like

yesterday, I just can't stay off email! I can't imagine how people get

through this without the support of each other.

So, until next time, that is is the update for now.

Safe journey,

You know..people talk about throwing up a lot and that concerns me because

throwing up is NOT good for you. When people are bulimic people get very

worried because of what frequent vomiting can do to your stomach lining and

esophagus. So what is the difference here? Does this vomiting thing last

forever? Just concerned...

I don't know the answer to your question. I think it varies from person to

person. But... it doesn't feel like when you have a virus, you just throw up

and immediately feel better. It doesn't have anything to do (for me, that

is) with eating too much. It i just whatever I eat doesn't sit well.

Me Too ,

This is a new tummy, and it decides what you like. For now anyway. Remember

this stomach is used to getting processed food form the upper stomach and now

we are just tossing whole foods to it. Sometimes it says nope don't want

this and up it comes. It's not violent it doesn't hurt. Now the acid reflux

is a totally different story. That is so vile and I do everything humanly

possible to not relive that. It is not an everyday thing. and most of the

post-ops that are farther out don't have it anymore. Don't worry, The Green

team is better!!! I have visited the orange team and believe me Green Rules!

Trish..I think I would rather be on the green team but I guess we don't

really get a choice in the end do we!?

Nope Holly, I had a dream that I was painting toe nails in the recovery room.

Go figure. But all the cool people were wearing green. I have to say that a

soft green is much better than ORANGE. Yea, I want an orange sticker for my

car..heehee

sneeze

at! But I understand that you wanted more.
