Guest guest
Hi Friends!! Hooray, I won't have to pay for the surgery afterall, as Cigna just called to say that they have approved me on appeal! Just in the nick of time too, as my surgery is on the 10th--yikes, that's a week from today! I would advise everyone waiting on insurance approvals to keep calling your carrier. As with I got nowhere until I called. I was even able to speed up my appeal (skipping 2 steps!) lol, when the time crunch was on. Call, call, call. Be persistent but nice. I truly believe I KILLED them with unrelenting kindness! LOL , you will have a companion at Durham Regional. I had a bid " DUH " moment--although I qualify for , my baby will be at Durham Regional, having her surgery the day before, so NATURALLY I want to be there with her--plus, my hubby will want to stay in one place to pace around, right? Now, , I think you know that you and I will be last to go, so we will have to find ways to amuse ourselves. LOL The Cattlemens on the 8th sounds wonderful! I guess that will be my " last supper " as I'm planning on eating lightly on the 9th. I still don't know where we're staying, but man have I done my research! LOL I will post on that separately. To those still waiting, you remain in my daily prayers. Keep strong and don't let up. Your day will come! Guest guest
Debbie/Chris: What wonderful news for both of you. I wish Cigna in No. Carolina would be as great. I have been denied all of my appeals by them and am now pursuing overturning them through the NC insurance commisioners office. I hope it works. Can I ask you, did you have WLS as an exclusion on your policy? I forget if you are the person who posted it as listed under KK exclusions.... Again, way to go, It is wonderful that you and your daughter will be changing together. My 15 year old is starting to develop a weight problem. I don't want to get on her case about it because I certainly know how that feels. She has about 25lbs to lose and I hope she can win the battle now. I am afraid she is destined to be a future Dr.R patient. Both my husband and I are morbidly obese. I hope when I get the surgery my eating habits change so drastically that hers will also. Best wishes to you and your family. , MGB hopeful since 2/19 still fighting with Cigna. > Debbie I am SO happy for you both. Way to go!
