Keep him active!! Weight Watchers does have a program for kids. He might

grow out of it too..if he can just maintain..he will continue to get taller.

My son who is 12 is 5'8 and weighs about 240 but he is just a big kid! A

size 14 in mens shoes already!!! He needs to lose a bit but part of it is he

is just big built. All kids are different. I would ask your pediatrician

what he/she thinks.

My 9 yr old son is 4'9 " . He weighs 117lbs. I am constantly

obsessing about his weight. I NEVER want him to go through the pain

and humiliation that I have endured my whole life. According to all

the weight charts I look at, he should only weigh around 90 lbs. That

means he is 27 lbs. overweight. Should I put him on a diet? Or do

you all think he will grow out of it? He is very active, he plays

football, swims, and is a runner. (5 minute miles I might add)

(Proud mom!) What do you all think?
