Guest guest
, The following lab tests must be completed within 30 days prior to your surgery: Blood count (hemoglobin or hematacrit), Serum electrolytes (Sodium, potassium, BUN and creatinine), EKG and pap smear and pelvic examination. You should get the reults from your doctor and carry them with you to the hospital on the day of your surgery. I gave mine to the nurse who took my vitals and fitted me with the support hose. As for your surgery date, Debbie called me and set mine up the day after she received my packet. That was near the end of June. I had my surgery this past Monday and came home from the hospital yesterday afternoon. I returned to my room from recovery around 1:00 Monday and was up walking after 5:00. I had very little pain, except for a little gas. Good luck! Audrey
Guest guest
Many Congrats! We're all so happy for you! Blessings ~Amy. YAHOO!!!!!!!!!!!! Hello fellow pre-ops. I wanted to let everyone know that I called my Insurance company today and I got approval!!!! A copy of the letter was faxed by Debbie on 7-7-00. On Monday I called to see if they had received it and I was told " no " . So I waited a couple of days and called back and they still hadn't received it. so on 7-14-00 I faxed a copy myself to them as well as sent a letter to each address I had on my insurance card. I called on the 17th and was told they still hadn't received it and for me to refax it and address it to " " (who was rather snooty towards me) so I asked Debbie if they could fax another copy to 's attention. I called at 9am this morning and was told they received my letter and it went for review yesterday and was approved!!!!! Now I'm finishing up my packet and waiting on a date for surgery. I have already scheduled my pap smear (yuk!!) and my PCP knows that I have to have a pre-surgery screen. Can anybody tell me what else is needed besides a EKG? Do I need to copy everything in my packet and take it with me as well? Will they call me with a clinic date? or do I need to call Debbie and make one? Should I wait until after my Dr's appt to my PCP and GYN? I'm so excited I can't think. Help get me on the right track.
