Guest guest
Yes, we do this too for their sausages. They don't pass muster as a " hotdog' though. Of course they would be much healthier than applegate. I have a related question,I'm curious how everyone buys their meat though? For the past 2 years I have bought sides of beef, pork and lamb from a local farmer. I also can buy chicken, turkey, venision, buffalo at his store. None of these meats have any " solutions " added. I have looked at the meats in the grocery stores such as Walmart and Hannaford and they ALL say something like natural flavors or 2% broth solution added. Do you all buy this stuff? I've never dared to. I know that Shadybrook farm turkey is GFCF for example, and would use this occasionally, but the packages do say stuff is added so have never dared to use it since SCD. Do you all use this stuff? Guest guest
" Do you all use this stuff? " Becky, I don't use meat that is in a solution/broth of any type. We cannot find untreated pork here and do not feed the boys pork. Jody mom to -7 and -9 SCD 1/
Guest guest
Antoinette, They make organic, non-preserved, non-treated meat products. They are really nothing at all like the low-cut meat products that you see in a traditional grocery. http://www.applegatefarms.com Jody mom to -7 and -9 SCD 1/

High Salt in take causes a problem...can't remember why...but know it contributes to osteoporosis! Something I have thanks to Celiac!
